TURNING ENERGY INTO ART- WORKSHOP WITH CHOREOGRAPHER THOMAS DICKSON!

The world famous and a 5 time  ”Choreographer of the Year” (USFS & PSA) coach & choreographer Thomas Dickson will be sharing and teaching his techniques and  knowledge about the artistic aspect of figure skating in a one day workshop in Klaukkala, Finland. The workshop is for coaches, choreographers and skaters (advanced novice, junior & senior level). The language of the workshop is English. Choreographer Evelina Lorek will be assisting in Finnish if needed.

THE MAIN TOPICS OF THE WORKSHOP:

1) Physical Energy – Creating art energy from edge
-The Magic of Leaning on an Edge
-The Secret Tool, Compulsory Figures : Training correct edges and positions builds the foundation for better jumps, spins and choreography
-Spacial Awareness and how to fill it for a greater physical presence
-Movement Style Basics: Understanding the usefull elements of Ballet, Modern and Jazz and how they apply to skating
2) Musical Energy – Creating interpretational energy from music
-Discovering dynamics and music education to enhance a program
-Dynamic Exercises: Learn to train the dynamics of music to illustrate and enhance choreography and musicality
-Understanding contrast and texture in music and how it applies to movement on ice

PRICE: 189e  (including VAT 24%) per person.  The price does not include lunch and the participants are not insured by the organizer of the event. An invoice will be sent to all participants before the workshop.
